Partner programme: you sell and design, we provide the platform

You win the restaurant, take the photos, write the copy and send us the content. We set up the ordering page, run it and bill the monthly subscription directly to the restaurant. You set the price for your own work.

How it works

  1. You win the restaurant. You know the local restaurant scene, you have the conversation and you agree your fee with the owner.
  2. You gather the content. Photos of the dishes, copy, logo, menu, opening hours. Exactly what we need is listed further down.
  3. You send us the setup order. We create the restaurant and build the website, menu and kitchen panel with your content.
  4. The owner takes out the subscription. They confirm their own Stripe account, which receives the guests’ payments, and pay the monthly subscription directly to OwnGo.
  5. The site goes live. You carry on designing and updating it if the restaurant wants you to, for example with new photos, offers or social media.

What you earn

You earn from your own work. You set the price for setup, photos, copy and marketing and invoice the restaurant yourself. OwnGo takes no cut of it and pays no commission. No money and no invoices pass between you and us.

The programme pays off most when the setup turns into an ongoing relationship. A restaurant with its own ordering page has a reason to communicate regularly: a new lunch deal, a dish of the week, photos for Instagram, the QR code on the new flyer. Each of these sends guests to a page where they can order directly.

What the restaurant gets

You are selling a finished product that is already in use in Berlin:

  • Its own website with an ordering page, on the restaurant’s own domain if it likes.
  • Orders for pickup, right away or scheduled, plus table reservations.
  • Payment by card, Apple Pay and Google Pay, straight to the restaurant’s Stripe account.
  • A kitchen panel in the browser on a tablet or phone, with no new devices.
  • Scheduled offers, vouchers and suggestions in the cart.
  • German legal requirements built in: allergens, receipts by email and a daily close for the tax advisor (Steuerberater).

The subscription costs the restaurant €49 a month on a 12-month contract or €59 a month, cancel monthly, with no commission per order. The Zia Maria pizzeria shows what that looks like in practice. The best way to explain why it pays off for a restaurant is the commission calculator.

What we need for the setup

After you get in touch, we send you the setup order. You should have these details from the restaurant:

Restaurant and owner

  • The restaurant’s name, address and phone number.
  • Details for the Impressum (the legal notice every German website needs): company name, owner or managing director, Handelsregister (commercial register) entry and USt-IdNr. (VAT ID), if they have them.
  • The owner’s email address. That is where the admin access and the Stripe invitation are sent.

Operations

  • Opening hours for each day of the week and the usual preparation time.
  • Whether they want scheduled orders and table reservations.

Menu

  • Every dish with its price and category.
  • Sizes, variants and extras with their surcharges.
  • The allergens in each dish, and whether it is sold at 7% or 19% VAT.

Look and feel

  • Logo, colours and photos of the dishes and the premises, with the rights to use them.
  • A short text about the restaurant.
  • The restaurant’s own domain, if the site should run on it.

Ground rules

So that restaurants can trust both you and us, a few simple rules apply:

  • You act in your own name and on your own account, not as OwnGo’s representative, and you sign nothing on OwnGo’s behalf.
  • You may name and show OwnGo, but not present yourself as OwnGo.
  • The restaurant always takes out the monthly subscription directly with OwnGo. You don’t resell it or promise discounts on it.
  • You only promise what OwnGo can do today. For example, there is no delivery service, and online payment is by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay only, never cash.
  • You only get admin access with the owner’s consent, and you use it only for the agreed work.
  • You hold the usage rights to the photos and copy you supply, and the restaurant may use them on its site.

Anyone who breaks these rules can no longer have new restaurants set up. Existing restaurants keep running, of course.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to pay OwnGo anything to become a partner?

No. The programme costs you nothing: there is no licence and no minimum revenue.

Does OwnGo pay a commission for restaurants I bring in?

No. You earn from your own fee, which you invoice directly to the restaurant. No money changes hands between you and OwnGo, and there are no invoices in either direction.

How much can I charge for my work?

That is up to you. The OwnGo monthly subscription has a public price and is always billed directly by OwnGo. Your fee covers your own work: photos, copy, design, marketing and ongoing support.

Can I resell the subscription or offer it under my own name?

No. The restaurant takes out the subscription directly with OwnGo and pays for it with its own card. The site runs as OwnGo; there is no white-label version.

Do I need technical skills?

No. We handle the technology. You manage the menu, photos, copy and offers in the admin, just as the restaurant itself would.

Who helps if something technical doesn’t work?

We do. OwnGo answers the restaurant’s technical questions directly. Content changes such as new photos or copy are yours, if that is what you have agreed with the restaurant.

What happens if the restaurant stops working with me?

The ordering page keeps running as normal, because the subscription is between the restaurant and OwnGo. Your access to the admin is then removed.

Do I get exclusivity for an area or a restaurant?

No. The programme is open and non-exclusive. A restaurant can also come to OwnGo directly.
